Millie A White

Millie A. White, 86, of Houston, MO, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, at her home. Millie has fought cancer for the past four years.

She was born on August 7, 1938, to Irvin and Mae Capps, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Bob White; her sons, Jack White and Robert White; and her sisters, Irene Adams and Martha Lou Carter.

Millie is survived by her loving sisters, Jessie Townley and Sue Mateer; her devoted daughters, Vicky Brinson (Randy) and Susie Lay (Kelly); her cherished grandchildren, Shannon White, Adam White, Megan Dorroh, and Shelby Creek; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Payton Choate, Tori Choate, Logan White, Samantha White, Owen Lewis, Klayton Lewis, Maxton Creek, and Vivian Creek. Also is survived by her loving pet, chocolate Lab, Sampson, who for the last 7 years has been inseparable.

Millie’s early years were filled with adventure and joy, especially her love for roller skating in Houston. She married Bob White early in life, and together they embarked on many adventures, learning to fish, hunt, and float the rivers. Millie loved spending time outdoors, gardening, tending to her flowers and cutting the grass. A devoted pastor’s wife, Millie faithfully served alongside Bob in various churches, sharing her passion for evangelism and ministry. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and love for her family and community touched the lives of many. Mille had an amazing talent to touch many through her special music, which she continued until very recently.

Millie loved to tell stories and adventures of her childhood and also of her early years of marriage going from living the “city life” to the “country life”. Millie remarked many times that she would not change anything about her life.

 

Millie’s legacy of faith, love, and adventure will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
