Mitt Hollis (WeWe), age 85, of Alton, Missouri, was born on December 3, 1940, in Alton, Missouri and passed away January 26,2026, at Ozark Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri.
Mitt was united in marriage to Dianne Brewer in 1963. From this union there were four children: sons Jeff Hollis and wife Mary Sue of Summersville, Missouri, and Mike Hollis and wife Pam of Rover, Missouri; daughters LaJuana Hollis and Jimmy Hower of Alton, Missouri, Samantha Hollis of Mount Veron, Illinois. He was a proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren. 20 great-grandchildren, and foster parents to 38 foster children.
Mitt was proceeded in death by his parents, Nute Hollis and Joyce Johnson, four brothers. and two sisters.
Throughout his life, Mitt spent many years devoted to hard work, holding jobs that included working at a feed store, sawmill, and steel mill. He deeply loved his family and enjoying the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed running dogs and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Mitt was baptized on October 19, 2019. He was the only man in Oregon County that saw a monkey on Turner Hill. He will be loved and remembered by many friends and family.
