Graveside Services for Norma Ellen Russell will be held on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 at The Evans Funeral Home, Houston, Missouri, beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held prior to the service at The Pine Lawn Cemetery, Houston, Missouri.
We are sad to announce the passing of Norma Ellen (Thompson) Russell. She passed away on March 5, 2026, in Houston, MO, at the age of 84. She was born on February 17, 1942, to Zellah Berniece (Stone) Thompson and Norman Lloyd Alden Thompson in Ashland, MA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Willard Albert Russell; and one brother.
Norma is survived by her children, Doug Russell, Pam Russell, Steven Russell, Susan Kortesmaki, Sandra Harrison, Tina Collins and their spouses; 21 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Norma had a passion for working with Newborns in Need, it meant a lot to her. She loved horses, quilting, God, helping others, and, most especially, her grandchildren. Her greatest love, up until her last breath, was her husband. She loved and missed him every day since his passing.
