Pauline Taylor

Alice Pauline (Watson) Taylor was born October 25, 1930 in Hartshorn, Missouri to William Henry and Gladys (Scurlock) Watson. She passed away June 11, 2025 in Sullivan, Missouri. Pauline married Warren Robert Taylor on December 26, 1946 and they were married for nearly fifty years before Warren passed away on October 25, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys Watson; three sisters, Dolly May Watson, Ruby McWhorter, and Dora Lipe; two sons, Ronald Warren Taylor, and Robert Wayne Taylor. She is survived by two sons, William (Terry) Taylor and Wendell (Renee) Taylor; two daughters-in-law, Donna (Cook) Taylor and Susan (McHugh) Berry; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. Pauline grew up in rural Missouri. She attended high school in St. Louis and graduated from Licking High School at age sixteen. She married and had four sons before her 26th birthday. In her mid 20s while attending a church service with her sister’s family, she accepted Jesus as her Savior and her life (and her family’s life) was immediately and indelibly changed. Several decades later she became a licensed minister with the Association of International Gospel Assemblies. In the late 1990s, she moved to Lake of the Ozarks and began teaching the adult Sunday School class at the Assembly of God church in Warsaw, MO. She taught that class for about seventeen years. Pauline worked outside the home at jobs with McDonnell Douglas and then at Fort Leonard Wood as a (computer) card punch operator, and at Rawlings sewing athletic clothing. A Celebration of Life for Pauline will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S Main Street, Licking, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Smile, in loving memory of Pauline.
