Philip Dean Howell was born October 21, 1944, in Fresno, CA, son of Bud Howell (serving in the Army Air Corp) and Ruby Ann (Iwan) Howell, and passed away November 10, 2025, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, AR.
Phil was preceded in death by: his parents and grandparents of Wirth, AR; 1 son, Phil Iwan Howell of Mammoth Spring, AR. Phil was married to Judy Conger of Paragould, AR, in 1991, after graduating high school in Mammoth Spring, AR, in 1962. He attended Draughon’s Business College in Memphis, TN, acquiring a degree in accounting. From September 1965 to September 1971, Phil was a Veteran in the U.S. Army as a Personnel Specialist. From 1980 until retirement in 2015, Phil was a professional Square Dance Caller and Instructor, calling all over Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee. Phil was a Christian of the Protestant Faith.
