Ronald Ray Russell was born on October 25, 1959, in Mountain View, Missouri, to George and Betty Russell. He departed this life on June 19, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri. He had attained the age of 62 years and 7 months.
“Ron” is proceeded in death by his father, George (Bob) Russell; his grandparents, Marley Mayberry, Daisy Craig, Jim Russell, and Lucy Yeager; three uncles, James Russell, Robert Russell, and Larry Mayberry; and two aunts, Alma Russell and Georgia Mayberry.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Russell of Winona, MO; one brother, Terry Russell (Mary) of West Plains, MO; two sisters, Diane VanWinkle (Frankie) and Angie Norris (Lynn) all of Winona; two children, Matt Russell (Carmen) and Katrina Fears (Rodney) of Winona; four grandchildren, Zack Russell of Mountain View, MO, Brittney Fears, Evan Fears, and Abigail Fears all of Winona, and a special “adopted” grandson who he claimed as his own, Lathen Mayberry. He also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins who loved him dearly.
He was saved at an early age at the First Baptist Church in Winona, Missouri.
Ron drove a truck for several years before he became disabled and was no longer able to drive. He loved to joke and carry on with people and was always up for a good laugh or two.
He loved his family more than anything and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
