Funeral Services for Russell Trexler, Age 90 of West Plains, Missouri will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at The Clary Funeral Home, Thayer, Missouri, beginning at 1pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, March, 13th, 2026 at The Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.
Russell Dean Trexler, age 90 of West Plains, MO, was born April 11, 1935, in Carbondale, IL, and passed away March 7, 2026, at his home.
Survivors include: 4 children, Fred Trexler of Pasadena, CA, Mary Szostkowski of Hemet, CA, Debora Brown of London, Ontario, and Robin York of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Cody Ary, Tony Ary, and Jimmy Ary; numerous great-grandchildren; special son, Tony Krusen and wife Cassie of Thayer, MO; special grandchildren, Leslie Altermat, Josh Krusen, Walker Krusen, Wyatt Aitken; several great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Cathy Craig; 2 nephews, Michael and James; 1 nice, Kimberly; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded by: his parents, Jesse Allen and Nellie Ann (Lentz) Trexler; his wife, Wanda (Singleton) Trexler; 5 siblings, Roy Allen, Nellie, Dorothy, Viriginia, and Juanita; a nephew, Brandon Witt.
Russell retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of service, serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He was also a long-time member of the Clifton Masonic Lodge in Thayer, MO.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
