Julieth Jean Crossland, known to family and friends simply as Jean, passed away on March 4, 2026, in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 78.
Jean was born on July 29, 1947, in West Plains, Missouri, to Al Gordon Seley, born January 26, 1924, in Thomasville, Missouri, and Imojene T. Seley, born April 4, 1929, in Verdon, Oklahoma.
Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family deeply. She is survived by her three children: Jennifer Georgene Crockarell, Jason Allen Reeves, and John Allen Crossland.
She was a proud grandmother to Jacob Allen Hackworth; Joshua Lee Hackworth and his wife; Cameron Alley Crockarell; and John Riley Crossland.
Jean was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, River Lee Hackworth and Waylon Blaine Hackworth, who brought her great joy.
She is also survived by her siblings: Carrol Ann McElroy, John Gregory Seley, Stephen Ray Seley, and Michael Allen Seley.
Jean loved having her family together and cherished time spent with them more than anything. She especially enjoyed cooking for everyone, bringing loved ones around the table. She was strong in her faith and remained devoted to her religious beliefs throughout her life. She loved music and dancing in her younger years. Jean was widely known for her kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need, touching many lives through her generosity and compassion.
Jean will be remembered for her loving heart, strong faith, and unwavering devotion to her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
