AVA, Mo. — The Ava Bears will be playing for the Class 2 state football championship.
The game against Lutheran North Crusaders from St. Louis will take place Friday, December 6 at Faurot Field in Columbia. The Ava School District says class will not be in session that day.

The Bears, who are undefeated, won their title berth in the championship on November 22 after beating Lamar 26-14, while Lutheran North, another undefeated team, beat Scott City that day 57-8.
Pre-sale tickets will begin on Monday at the Ava High School Office. Tickets are $10 each.
