The Royals suffered their third straight loss. Kansas City fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 5-3 in its series opener at Kauffman Stadium. Maikel Garcia and Kyle Isbel homered in the setback. Starting pitcher Brady Singer fell to 2-and-1 after he allowed five runs and totaled five strikeouts through six innings. The Royals are now 13-and-10 heading into another meeting with the Blue Jays tonight. Right-hander Michael Wacha will start opposite Toronto righty Kevin Gausman.
