The Royals blew a late lead in a loss at their home ballpark. Kansas City fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals had a 5-3 lead going into the ninth before Milwaukee shortstop Willy Adames hit a go-ahead three-run homer off of James McArthur. The closer fell to 1-and-2 and was charged with his third blown save. Vinnie Pasquantino was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored in the setback. The Royals are now 21-and-16 heading into the series finale against Milwaukee this afternoon. Right-hander Brady Singer will start opposite Brewers righty Joe Ross.
