The St. Louis Cardinals scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth during a 3-2 win over the Colorado Rockies at Busch Stadium.
Warming Bernabel and Brenton Doyle drove in runs in the seventh inning to give the Rockies a 2-1 lead. Miles Mikolas had held the Rockies hitless into the sixth inning. With the Cardinals trailing, Brendan Donovan hit a two-run, go-ahead double to give St. Louis the lead for good. Kyle Leahy earned his third win in relief pitching two and one-third innings.
The Cards have won four of five and are just three games out of the Wild Card, chasing the slumping Mets who have lost seven straight.
