The Cardinals pulled off a ninth-inning rally to beat the Pirates 4-2 Monday night. Down two runs, Pedro Pages and JJ Wetherholt hit back-to-back homers to tie it, then Jose Fermin delivered a two-run double for the lead.
Pittsburgh had flirted with a perfect game into the seventh before Alec Burleson broke it up, and St. Louis made them pay late. The Cardinals improved to 15-and-13.
