Cardinals 7, Nationals 6

The Cardinals rallied late and won in extras, beating Washington 7-6 in 10 innings Tuesday night. St. Louis scored five runs against a Nationals bullpen that entered the game with a 6.34 ERA. Thomas Saggese delivered the go-ahead RBI double in the 10th, and JJ Wetherholt added an insurance run later in the inning. Jordan Walker and Nathan Church both homered, with Church tying the game in the eighth for his first extra-base hit in 27 at-bats. George Soriano earned the win with two scoreless innings, and Riley O’Brien picked up his third save. The Cardinals close the series Wednesday with Michael McGreevy starting against Miles Mikolas.
