Chiefs training camp cuts from Nick Bolton

The Chiefs are continuing training camp. Kansas City was in pads for the first time on Sunday. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes shone on the day while throwing to tight end Travis Kelce and receivers Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown. Cornerback Kristian Fulton and undrafted rookie tight end Jake Briningstool did not participate in the practice.

Linebacker Nick Bolton says this defense could be the best in the NFL. Bolton got a huge compliment from Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who called Bolton the Patrick Mahomes of the defense. Bolton, re-signed with the Chiefs during the off-season, says that with all the success he’s had, he still doesn’t believe he has reached his full potential. Bolton, drafted by the Chiefs out of Missouri, signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Chiefs.
