LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Missouri Softball signee Courtney Donahue was named the 2024 TUCCI/NFCA NJCAA DII Pitcher of the Year, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Monday.
Donahue, a, Dane, Wisconsin, native, struck out 386 batters in 2024, 103 more than the next pitcher in NJCAA DII and posted a 26-4 record with a 0.94 ERA in 186.2 innings of work as a sophomore at Des Moines Area Community College.
She also topped the Division in shutouts (12), strikeouts per seven innings (14.48), complete games (25) and WHIP (0.56), while she ranked third in victories (tie) and ERA and fifth in batting average against (.115).
Donahue who signed with Missouri this past November was also named a 2024 NFCA NJCAA DII First Team All-American and the ICCAC (Iowa Community College Athletic Conference) Student-Athlete of the Year.
Donahue is the fifth DMACC All-American pitcher since 2018 when Mizzou assistant coach Molly Jacobsen McCargar earned the honor.
Donahue will join Missouri this upcoming fall ahead of the 2025 season.
