The Liberty Eagles went back on the road on Friday night to Mountain Grove to take on The Mountain Grove Panthers. As was last year, Eagles struggled to find any positive yardage and strength on defense and fell in the matchup, 35-6
1st Quarter: Toss is won by the Mountain Grove Panthers who start on offense. First major offensive move is a first down by Junior, Eli Golden for the Panthers followed by a big gain by Senior Kaden Murphy. Panthers keep going as Junior Braydon Curtiss gets another big gain. Liberty Eagles nearly get a steal as Wyatt Cox comes within reach but doesn’t make it. Panthers get on top first as Braydon Curtiss takes the ball in for the 7-0 lead with the extra point. Grove keeps the control on defense as they keeps the lead at the end of one.
2nd Quarter: Parker Tune gets a new set of downs for The Eagles on offense. This allows Senior Sawyer Morris to get the catch from Tune for a 28-yard run and put the Eagles on the board. A goal was attempted for two points by Kyle Roberts but was missed. Panthers answer back as Aiden Estep scores another run. This is followed by six more points in the next move by Braydon Curtiss brings the Mtn Grove Panthers up 21-6. Make it 28-6 with another run by Curtiss as Liberty defense cannot come up with an answer.

4th Quarter: Eagles continue to grapple as they have hardly any luck getting the ball back. Braydon Curtiss scores the final six points for the night with a good two point kick. Mountain Grove carries the 29 point lead to the end and wins by a Final Score of 35-6.
