The St. Louis Cardinals announced that they have completed a three team trade with the Seattle Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays, acquiring RHP and 2 OF and two Compensation Round B Draft Selections, one from each team, in exchange for All-Star infielder Brendan Donovan.
Dustin Sahlmann has been named head coach of the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball program. He will be the fourth head coach in the program’s history. University officials announced the hiring yesterday. Sahlmann’s first official day is Feb. 2.
Willow Springs senior Kolby James scored his 2,000th career point in a win over Galena Saturday. He scored a career-high 42 points and also broke the program’s all-time career scoring recorded held by his Dad Robert James with his 2,015th career point.

After several seasons of rebuilding in the post-Belichick and Tom Brady era, the New England Patriots are back on top and in a big way. The AFC champions, powered by quarterback Drake Maye, are headed to Super Bowl 60, where they’ll take on the Seattle Seahawks. It’s a rematch of sorts. The two franchises last met on the Super Bowl stage in 2014, when the Patriots edged the Seahawks 28–24 in a classic finish.
