The West Plains Chamber Caddy Shack Classic will be held Friday May 3rd at the West Plains Country Club. It’s a three-person 18-hole scramble. With a 12-noon shotgun start. Saturday, May 25, the West Plains Sunrise Rotary Club will host the 22nd Annual Tom Smith Sunrise Rotary Classic at North Terra Golf Course. The golf tournament will start at 10 a.m. and is a 3-person scramble. Registration is open at $225 per team. You can call 417-256-9824 to register. There will be cash prizes in all the flights. $500 for first, $300 for second, and $200 for third. There are also numerous hole prizes, one of which is a 2024 Club Car Golf Cart sponsored by Clear Creek Golf Carts and Utility Vehicles. There is also going to be free food and beverages.
The Royals celebrated an extra innings, walk-off win over the Astros in Kansas City. Salvador Perez’s single in the bottom of the 10th scored Garrett Hampson to give KC a 4-3 victory. They play host to the Astros again tonight.
