The West Plains Zizzer baseball team will kick off class 5 district 6 play vs Bolivar tonight from Branson. The Zizzer received the #3 seed and will face the #6 seed Bolivar Liberators at 6pm game will be broadcast on KDY 102.5.
Class 3 district 10 baseball semifinals yesterday at Houston. Houston topped Seymour 15-0 and then Willow Springs fell to Thayer 2-1. Houston plays Thayer for the district championship today at Houston.
The Willow Springs Lady Bear hosted The Houston Lady Tigers in Class 2 quarterfinal softball yesterday. And it was all Willow Springs Lady Bears as they picked up the Quarterfinal win 10-2. The Willow Springs Lady Bear will now head to the Final four. The Lady Bear will face the #1 team in the state in Diamond on Monday at 11am. The winner will play for a state championship on Tuesday at 11am the loser will have to turn around and play again Monday at 2pm. All games are being played at Killian Softball Complex in Springfield. Both Willow Springs Lady Bear games will air on KUKU 100.3. Also making the final four is Lone Jack and Kennett.
The Willow Springs Bears Golf team finished second in the State Golf meet yesterday just 3 strokes behind Cole Camp who won the state Championship with a score of 677 and Willow finished with a two-day score of 680. Noah Leslie finished 5th overall with a two-day score of 165. Blayne Altermatt finished with a 2 day score of 170 and Brady Altermatt finished with a 2 day score of 171, Alexander Moritz two day score 174 and Marc Siniguian two day score 181. Fantastic job by the Willow Springs Bears golf team finishing second in class 2 state golf for 2024.
And class 2 district 10 semifinal baseball that were to be played yesterday at Mansfield will resume today, with Mansfield vs Cabool and Gainesville vs Bakersfield.
