The Mizzou Tiger tangled with the LSU Tigers Saturday. Mizzou’s defense fell apart in the final quarter of the Tigers 49-39 loss to number-20 LSU at Faurot Field on Saturday. The Tigers led by five entering the fourth, but they were outscored 22-7 to end the game.
The KC Chief took on the Vikings yesterday. The Kansas City Chiefs survived a late Vikings rally during a 27-20 win at US Bank Stadium. Patrick Mahomes threw touchdown passes on each of Kansas City’s first two drives of the second half to give the Chiefs a 27-13 lead, but Kirk Cousins hit Alexander Mattison for a nine-yard touchdown to bring the Vikings within seven points in the fourth.

Tuesday, October 10th will be the Lady Eagles’ last volleyball home game. The Fight against Cancer game. We will be doing a silent auction in the lobby as we have for the past 2 years. Lady Eagles will be accepting items to auction. If you would like to donate or bake something just let them know and they will get you on the list! Auction will start at 4:30pm and end when the last point is made of the varsity game. Coach Tunes wonderful Momma has made an awesome quilt as well. All proceeds go to local family members battling cancer.
Kadem Tharp, head coach of the Grizzly Baseball program at Missouri State University-West Plains will host a second prospect camp for potential players Sunday, Oct. 22, at Zizzer Field on Howell Avenue in West Plains. The pro-style workout will begin at 1 p.m. and is limited to 75 student-athletes who will graduate high school between spring 2024 and spring 2027, Student-athletes will be evaluated in the 60-yard dash, exit velos, positional velos and arm velos, In addition to Tharp, coaches from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville will attend.
