Chiefs 27, Vikings 20

The Kansas City Chiefs survived a late Vikings rally during a 27-20 win at US Bank Stadium. Patrick Mahomes threw touchdown passes on each of Kansas City’s first two drives of the second half to give the Chiefs a 27-13 lead, but Kirk Cousins hit Alexander Mattison for a nine-yard touchdown to bring the Vikings within seven points in the fourth.

However, Kansas City forced a turnover on downs on Minnesota’s next drive and sacked Kirk Cousins on a Hail Mary attempt on the final play of the game. Mahomes threw for 281 yards and two scores in the victory, while Travis Kelce reeled in 10 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs are on a four-game winning streak.

Andy Reid picked up his 251st regular season win as a head coach moving him ahead of Tom Landry for fourth place all-time.

Cousins had 284 passing yards and two TDs in the losing effort. The NFL’s top receiver Justin Jefferson who was averaging over 130 yards per game was held to just 28 yards receiving on three catches and missed the end of the game after injuring his hamstring.
