LSU 49, Mizzou 39—Tigers out of the AP top 25

Mizzou’s defense fell apart in the final quarter of the Tigers 49-39 loss to number-20 LSU at Faurot Field on Saturday. The Tigers led by five entering the fourth, but they were outscored 22-7 to end the game. Brady Cook passed for 411 yards, two touchdowns, but also threw two picks, including one that led to a touchdown by Major Burns after the Tigers were backed up on their five-yard line late in the game. Cody Schrader rushed for 114 yards and three scores. Luther Burden the Third added 11 catches on 149 yards. Mizzou dropped to 5-and-1 overall and 1-and-1 in the SEC. They were also dropped from the AP Top 25 and fell three spots to 25 in the coaches poll. Next up is a game at Kentucky this Saturday at 6:30.
