Pinch-hitter Hunter Goodman crushed a two-run homer in the ninth to give Colorado a 6-5 win in St. Louis. Goodman drilled a 3-2 sinker from JoJo Romero deep to center, scoring two. Goodman also homered in Tuesday’s win.
The Cardinals got homers from Alec Burleson and Lars Nootbaar, while Pedro Pagés had two hits and two RBI, but the Cardinals lost the season series to the Rockies 4-2. Colorado has the worst record in the majors at 32-88.
