The Missouri State West Plains Grizzlies hosted the State Fair Roadrunners for Homecoming at The West Plains Civic Center this past Saturday night, February 21st, 2026
1st Half: Tip controlled by State Fair. Stolen by Javon Barbee on a hustle to put the Grizzlies on first. Ball stolen as #24, Ja Kori Phillips passes to #13, Andin Ashford for two which falls short.
A three falls short by Shaun Glass and time on the shot clock runs out. Ball goes back to the State Fair Roadrunners. #12, JP Indong scores on the left wing and gets his rebound. It’s 2-2 ballgame. Nearly stolen by Glass but put back up and in for three.
A three from the left wing is good wing by Glass. Now a 5-5 ballgame
Ashford on the rebound for State Fair puts it up for two more, now 5-7- Roadrunners with 17:00 Minutes to go.
A foul on indong and #4, Ace Evans shoots two for the Grizzlies as he makes 1-2. Now 6-7, Grizzlies by one.
Two bad passes by both teams. Ball with State Fair with now 16:00 minutes to go. Javon Barbee with another three which falls out.
#5 Damien Durden with the next bucket for State Fair. Next three by Shaun Glass for the Grizzlies falls short. Rebound by #1, Tyrell Smith. Three is good. Tied at 9-9 with 14:15 to go.

Ndong scores on a pick and roll for State Fair. Though Grizzlies have fell short with rebounding in the past. Tonight so far they are doing pretty good.

#30, Gavin Q Murphy with the next three for State Fair as they take the lead by five. Grizzlies not doing much to get a steal.
State Fair playing zone as the ball goes back to the Grizzlies. Back iron shot no good by #24, Dassiah Green. #15, Javon Barbee tries strong and hustles but still falls short. Ball will go back to State Fair.

A 1-3 battle and #3, Blayne Harris gets to shoot two, Game cut to five points as he makes both.
Drive-in by #5, Damian Durden as he scores on the other end. Around the horn and back to Barbee for three. No Good. Stays with the Grizzlies and Barbee gets an assist by #11, Lindsey for two.
Three ball good on the rebound by #5, Durden for State Fair, Ball stays with State Fair and #15 Garza and two more to make it a ten point lead.
Foul on the next play for #5, Shaun Glass. Glass makes both as game is back to seven. Grizzlies come back with some heavier pressure as Garza for State Fair tries for a shot. No good.
Javon Barbee with a wide open three is good, Grizzlies by four- 27-23. Garza gets the next rebound.#3, Malick Ndiaye scores at the line on the next foul for the Grizzlies as Roadrunners go back up by six. Ace Evans on the next rebound for the Grizzlies, passes to Barbee for two which is good. Cut back to four.

2nd Half: A baseline shot by Shaun Glass starts the half for the Grizzlies. As State Fair takes it back they make their sixth turnover. #11, Makai Lindsey on the next shot as State Fair makes another turnover as #24, Phillips tries to shoot twice. #5, Shaun Glass nearly shoots and scores but fouls and #13, Andin Ashford goes to the line. To the Grizzlies benefit he makes 0-2.
A three is good on the next steal by Shaun Glass, 37-32. And another lay in and turnover by State Fair. And Javon Barbee lays it in again now 34-37.
First points of the half finally for State Fair by #2, Nate Wilder. Barbee tries to take it back for Grizzlies but shot is no good. Next shot for state good by #12, JP Ndong for State Fair and lead is back to seven.
State Fair keeps it and #15, Daniel Garza scores on another jumper as Grizzlies cannot find an open shot in their zone. Luckily a hard shot by Barbee on the rebound for the Grizzlies.
A cold spell for about two minutes of play. Careless ball handling by both teams up until #13, Malick Ndaiye scores from the baseline, 45-36. No turnovers for the Grizzlies do far up until this point.
shot almost blocked by #24, Dassiah Green but #12, Ndong goes over the top and in, 49-35. State Fair however is hardly getting the ball inside.
Shaun Glass with a steal and scores another three, Grizzlies now by eleven with 11:15 to go- State Fair leads 51-39.
A seventeen foot jumper is good by #3, Blayne Harris after a timeout. Ninth turnover by State Fair as ball goes the other way and #3, Malick Ndiaye travels with Basketball.
Grizzlies lose the ball on the State Fair travel but lost again by State Fair. First team foul by State Fair with 9:14 to go.
Turnover four for the Grizzlies. State Fair still playing a 2-3 zone and pass stolen by #13, Clayton Robbins for the Grizzlies who passes to Ace Evans and Javon Barbee.

#12, JP Ndong gets the ball as State Fair takes it back. And a foul on the Grizzlies sends #5, Damien Durden to the line. Durden makes 0-2.
A three falls short by Glass as Grizzlies falls short. Turn over by State Fair and Ace Evans tries for another short three. State Fair takes it back again and with 1:44 to go there is not much left for The Grizzlies to do.
