The Missouri State West Plains Grizzly Basketball Team made a return to the Fitzsimmons John Arena on The Campus of Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri on Saturday, February 14th, 2026.
Grizzlies have still yet to win a region game this far in the season. Their last region win was on This same saturday last year when they beat The Mineral Area Cardinals at home.
1st Half: Tip controlled by The Moberly Greyhounds. Shot up and in to score first by #33, Rony Mbandou for Moberly.
Ball taken back by the Grizzlies and shot missed from seventeen feet by #5, Shaun Glass. Grizzlies force a turnover out of Moberly and #15, Javon Barbee gets the Grizzlies on the board first.
Taken out by #2, Lavonta Ivery. Grizzlies try for another three on the rebound by Shaun Glass. Rolls off the rim.
Grizzlies down by three early in the first, 5-2.

33-25 Grizzlies after the media timeout as Julan Doyle for Moberly shoots an easy floater. Stays with Moberly and a long three, very far out from #1, Jayden Banks. 33-27- Moberly
Grizzlies playing good defense as Kai Lindsey gets a block just as Banks starts to go in. Another long three by Tyrell Smith makes eleven as they lead by ten, 39-29.
Tyrell good again, Grizzlies by eleven now- 42-31 with 2:39 to go.
Greyhounds go back to man to man defense and #24, Dassiah Green scores his first points. A three point play that he completes at the line. Dassiah makes both free throws.
Grizzlies lead at the half by ten, 45-35
2nd Half: A turnover by Grizzlies gets off as #22, Estes gets off for two. Ball goes back to the Grizzlies and a three by #15, Barbee. Thirteenth three pointer of the half.
Ivory and Estes comes combined with seven points now as Ivery scores on the rebound, 48-42 Grizzlies.
A foul on the Grizzlies and Estes will go back to the line for The Grizzlies.
11, Makai Lindsey with ball back on the Rebound. Goes two far out and now the third turnover in the second half. 1-2-2 zone will be the defense on the Moberly rebound for the Grizzlies.
#5, Julien Doyle cuts the trail down to two. Rebound by #1, Tyrell Smith lays the ball off the glass for two more.

After a time out and the game is tied up. Ace Evans attacks the basket, shoots and scores and gets to shoot two. Grizzlies come back up by two- 52-50.
Ivery takes the ball back for Moberly and scores on a good two. Tied back up at 52.
Ball picked back up by The Grizzlies as Julien Doyle loses the ball. But turned over. Picked up and put back in a Mbandou for Moberly takes back the lead, 54-52.
Reverse layup on the rebound by Shaun Glass, 54-54. Back door pass by Mbandou again. 14:06 to go in the ballgame.
Tied back up at 56 as Javon Barbee shoots another jumper. #10, Stoddart on the rebound pushes past Tyrell Smith for two.
Makai Lindsey gets to shoot again as he gets the easy shot off the rim and completes the play at the line.
Ivery for Moberly fouls Dassiah Green for Grizzlies, as Grizzlies are down by one- 62-61.
Ball blocked out of bounds as Ivery tries to shoot again and Dassiah Green gets the ball to falls short. Ivery gets his rebound back and scores another high jumper. They now lead the Grizzlies by four.
A six point game as Ivery gets another solid possession, scoring again as Grizzlies are now down by seven.
Estes with the next jumper for Moberly. They end up going up by nine as 0, Howard is the next to score at the line.
Doyle on the rebound for Moberly scores again. No rebound for the Grizzlies as Shaun Glass shoots a jumper. Foul called on #13, Clayton Robbins.
Makai Lindsey finally gets a rebound and an easy shot as trail is cut back down to nine with under 8 minutes to go. Tyrell Smith also gets to shoot two as Moberly gets their next foul.
Pass stolen by Ace Evans as Grizzlies look for a chance to cut the game by five. Evans makes both, down by five- 75-69 as Moberly leads with 6 ½ minutes left in the ballgame.
Good defensive pressure but shot up and in again by Howard for Moberly. Makai Lindsey gets another steal and scores again.
A foul as Dassiah Green fouls out of the game and #2, Ivery goes back to the line. Moberly will re-apply press on defense. Shaun Glass will move the ball out top, passing to #1, Tyrell Smith for three, 80-72- Moberly Doyle on the rebound for Moberly, shoots and scores. Doyle with 16 points nearing the four minute mark
