The Liberty Eagles faced the (12-10) Licking Wildcats at home on Thursday night. Eagles continued on with a long week of Basketball as they defeated state ranked Bunker on Monday night and Cabool on Tuesday.
1st Quarter: Tip controlled by The Liberty Eagles as Alex Tune controls to the offense passes to Paxton Hunter as ball is put up and in for two. Conway Adey on the rebound for The Licking Wildcats who ties up the ballgame at two.
Same move as Carter Ellett puts the ball in for two more and another two put up and in by Adey.
Liberty makes their first turnover on the rebound but fights back as Draydon Wells is able to force a turnover off the hands of Sophmore, Jett Sullins and makes it a 6-4 ballgame.
Licking revs up their offense on the next rebound as Adey and Jason Ingram score two bore shots inside the paint. But a foul and Paxton Hunter goes back to the line for two.
The first three ball of the game is good by Conway Adey for Licking. Rebound by Paxton Hunter who shoots the ball up and in again for two.
Alex Tune gets the ball right as Licking tries to steal the ball back and scores again, 16-14 Liberty.
Remarkably, Licking defense has yet to cause Liberty a serious foul.
Another corner three ball shot is good by Blayne Altermatt. Buckner for Licking answers back with another three.
With under two minutes to go, Alex Tune with another three. But Liberty commits their first team foul and Karson Walker goes to the line shooting two.
2nd Quarter: Alex Tune with another three pointer, Licking loses the ball on the rebound. Liberty takes the ball back and put in for two by Paxton Hunter.
Licking continues to play a pretty tight press as Draydon Wells has gone out. By this point, Licking has had some better luck attacking in the paint as Conway Adey makes the next three pointer for The Wildcats. Score, 30-21-Liberty with about 3 ½ minutes to go in the half.
Another team foul for Liberty as Adey goes to the line for two. Rebound as Alex Tune passes to Paxton Hunter who makes his tenth point on the night for Liberty.
Liberty keeps the ball on the rebound and another three pointer by Alex Tune as Liberty now leads by twelve, 35-23.
Tune gets off another field goal as Liberty starts controlling the press a little better in the last few minutes of the half.

HALFTIME- Liberty Eagles: 38/ Lickin Wildcats: 23
3rd Quarter: A nice three by Carter Ellett kicks off the second half for the Liberty Eagles. Adey fights past two rebounds to get a shot for The Licking Wildcats.
Parker Tune makes a nice shot off the side of the rim, 43-29-Liberty with 6 ½ minutes tune. Paxton Hunter picks up the loose basketball and puts the ball in for two more as the ball continues to stay with Liberty.
Liberty allows Conway Adey to get loose at least two more times for Licking as he scores four more. A foul on Licking and Paxton Hunter shoots two more at the line.
A foul on Liberty as Jason Ingram shoots two more free throws for Licking. On the rebound another three by Carter Ellett.
The six field goal for Alex Tune as now Liberty has made it back to the defensive stride they had early in the first half.
Ingram, who leads Licking in scoring, cashes in on two more free throws.
At the end of three, Liberty continues to hold the lead 61-38
4th Quarter: Parker Tune, Alex Tune, & Paxton Hunter continue making trips to the line as Licking picks up two more fouls.
Jet Sullins scores on an open look as Liberty makes their next team foul.
Parker Tune makes his seventh point as he keeps hanging right near the baseline making some some easy shots in. Jet Sullins continues to attack for Licking as he gets off a baseline jumper and a three, 76-49- Liberty with under five minutes to go.
Paxton Hunter and Blayne Altermatt with the next two threes for Liberty, both teams continue to have a great deal of luck with the three ball as Logan Buckner for The Wildcats scores another on the rebound.
While Parker Tune and Paxton Hunter foul out of the game with about 1:45 to go; Titus Jester tries for a pass to Altermatt who misses it and a foul as Jason Ingram shoots two more free throws.
Brian Thompson jumper tries another baseline tries to get a baseline jumper which falls short. Jet Sullins for Licking with his tenth point. Ball stays with Licking as Parker Huff puts in the last shot.

Liberty Eagles have officially reached a 20 win record for the first time since 2015.
Eagles will remain at home tonight; Friday, February 13th as they take on The Houston Tigers for their Hoop Queen game.
There will be no JV game. Game will start around 6 PM on 96.9 The Fox
