Round 1 of the Class 1 Girls Golf Championships is nearly in the books. Very tough conditions yesterday with temps in the 40’s at tee time and 30+ mph wind gusts. Liberty Lady Eagle Kameryn Wood hit the fairway 64% of the time and was putting for birdie on 9 of the 18 holes. Those numbers usually reflect a better score than a 89, but a new course and the wind played a big role in the result after day 1. Day 2 is today with better conditions at tee time.
