During the 2023-24 campaign with Detroit Mercy, Stone ranked 22nd nationally with 20.8 points per game. Overall, the 6-foot-4 guard from Perth, Australia, amassed 723 points, 214 rebounds and 97 assists in 39 games with the Titans from 2022 to 2024.

“Jayden fits what we were looking for as a perimeter scorer,” said Whitten Family Head Coach Dennis Gates. “He has great size for his position and in our league, that is a big advantage. Jayden is a great athlete and has been an efficient threat from beyond the arc. He brings a scoring mindset to our program and has potential to have a lot of success within our system.”

Stone, who spent the 2024-25 season at West Virginia but missed the campaign with an injury, scored in double figures in 31 of his 39 games at Detroit, including 20 contests of at least 20 points and three games of 30-plus points. He also led the Titans with 2.7 assists and 62 made 3-pointers during his senior campaign.

Overall, Stone – who played his first two seasons at Grand Canyon – has totaled 825 points in 69 collegiate games, averaging 12.0 points during his four-year career. He has also tallied 253 rebounds, 122 assists and 59 steals. Stone has also connected on 34.7 percent of his 3-point attempts during his career (102-294) with an 80.9 percent clip from the free-throw line.

Stone is the program’s fifth signee of the spring period, joining Sebastian Mack (UCLA), Luke Northweather (Oklahoma), Shawn Phillips Jr. (Arizona State) and Jevon Porter (Loyola Marymount). The five join a program that posted three top-five wins last season for the first time since 1988-89 – advancing to the NCAA Tournament from an SEC that sent a record 14 schools to the national tournament.
