The Mizzou Tigers were recognized for their work in the classroom as the Southeastern Conference recently announced its 2023 Spring Academic Honor Roll and its 2022-23 First-Year Honor Roll.

Missouri was represented by 189 student-athletes on the pair of honor rolls. A total of 108 earned Spring Academic Honor Roll accolades – which includes the sports of baseball, men’s and women’s golf, softball, tennis and track & field. It marks the third-straight year that Mizzou has had more than 100 qualify for the honor, surpassing last year’s total of 104. Additionally, the Tigers feature 81 student-athletes on the first-year honor roll for the second-straight year.
Any student-athlete who participates in an SEC championship sport is eligible for nomination. Criteria for selection includes a 3.00 cumulative grade point average or a 3.0 for the preceding academic year. Athletes must have completed 24 semester hours of academic credit towards a degree at the nominating institution. First year student-athletes in all sports may be named to the Honor Roll at the conclusion of their first full academic year in residence (spring, fall, and summer terms).
