FORT WORTH, Texas – Mizzou Women’s Basketball (9-13, 5-9 SEC) fell to Arizona State (12-11, 6-9 Pac-12), 50-39, in the consolation round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth, Texas. With the loss, Mizzou’s 2020-21 campaign comes to a close.
Turning Point
Mizzou and Arizona State were locked into a back-and-forth battle for much of three quarters before Arizona State pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Tigers, 17-10 in the game’s final 10 minutes.

Top Tigers
- Redshirt junior guard Haley Troup (Gadsden, Ala.) scored a team-high 14 points and shot 6-of-13 from the field.
- Sophomore guard Aijha Blackwell (Berkeley, Mo.) scored nine points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
- Redshirt junior forward LaDazhia Williams (Bradenton, Fla.) scored nine points and had four rebounds.

- Mizzou outrebounded the Sun Devils on the boards, 32-31 (+1), the 14th time this season they have outrebounded its opponent.
- Troup led Mizzou in scoring for the second time this season with her 14 points, her seventh time scoring in double figures this season.
- Freshman guard Mama Dembele (Manlleu, Spain) had three assists in the game, the 11th time this season she has had at least three dimes in the game.
- On the season, Mizzou shot a program-best 38.2 percent (166-of-435) from the three-point line.
- Mizzou shot 48.0 percent (610-1,271) from the field, the fifth-best mark in program history.
- Williams finished the season shooting 58.2 percent (106-of-182) from the field, the third-best mark in program history.
- From three, sophomore forward Hayley Frank (Strafford, Mo.) finishes fifth among single-season records at 45.1 percent (37-of-82) and sophomore guard Lauren Hansen (Long Island, N.Y.) finishes sixth at 43.3 percent (29-of-67).
- Blackwell’s 10.6 rebounds per game is the second-best single-season mark in school history. She becomes the fifth play in program history to average a double-double (14.1 ppg / 10.1 rpg) over a full season, joining Nancy Rutter (1975-76), Renee Kelly (1985-86), Ericka Fields (1991-92) and Kesha Bonds (1997-98).
