After another monster season in New York, Aaron Judge of the Yankees claimed the 2025 American League MVP, his third in just four years.
Judge narrowly edged out the stellar rookie slugger Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners, taking home 17 first-place votes to Raleigh’s 13 and finishing with 355 points to Raleigh’s 335.
Judge hit .331 (his first batting title), launched 53 home runs, and posted a league-leading 1.144 OPS — all despite battling a flexor strain in his elbow.
With this win, Judge becomes only the fourth Yankee ever to capture three MVPs, joining franchise icons like Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra and Mickey Mantle.

Ohtani a 4-Time MVP Winner
Shohei Ohtani , the two-way superstar for the Los Angeles Dodgers took home the National League MVP award — his fourth MVP in just five seasons, and he did it unanimously.
Ohtani smashed 55 home runs, racked up 146 runs scored, and posted a slugging percentage that led the league — and he also returned to the mound after elbow surgery, pitching with a 2.87 ERA in 14 starts.
With this win, Ohtani moves into rarified air, joining only Barry Bonds as players with at least four MVP awards.
