Los Angeles Angels pitcher/DH Shohei Ohtani is the first two-way All-Star in Major League Baseball history.
Ohtani had already been elected by fans to start as the AL’s designated hitter and was also named to the team as a pitcher over the weekend.
Ohtani leads the majors in home runs and as a pitcher is 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 83 strikeouts.
