NCAA Basketball: Michigan Wins Its Second National Title and First Since 1989, Beating UConn 69-63

Michigan won the national title 69–63 over UConn, but it wasn’t pretty.

They couldn’t hit 3s at all — just 2 all game — and had to win by playing tough defense and grinding it out. Elliot Cadeau led with 19 points, and a late 3 from Trey McKenney helped seal it.

UConn kept it close until the end and had chances to cut it to one, but missed key shots. Michigan then iced it at the free throw line, going 25-for-28.
