Royals 4, Blue Jays 1

The Royals put an end to their three-game losing streak. Kansas City defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-1 at the Rogers Centre. Michael Massey belted his first home run of the season on a two-run shot in the second inning. Starting pitcher Cole Ragans improved to 2-and-2 after tossing nine strikeouts and letting up one run through six-and-two-thirds innings. James McArthur notched his seventh save as the Royals improved to 18-and-13. They close out their three-game series against Toronto this afternoon. Right-hander Seth Lugo will start opposite Toronto righty Chris Bassitt.
