Royals 9, Mets 2

The Royals swept the Mets following a dominant, 9-2 victory in the finale from Kansas City. Brady Singer was terrific on the mound and gave up just three hits while striking out four batters over eight scoreless innings. Drew Waters blasted a three-run homer while Bobby Witt Jr. went three-for-four and also went yard. Kansas City plated three runs in the seventh and eighth innings to secure its sixth-straight win. KC improved to 35-and-75 and is last in the AL Central. The Royals will travel to take on the Philadelphia Phillies tonight. Right-hander Jordan Lyles is slated to start the series opener.
