The Cardinals allowed four runs in the second inning during a 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Busch Stadium. Matthew Liberatore gave up a pair of two-run home runs during the frame and was charged with his fourth loss after allowing five runs on six hits in five-and-two-thirds innings. Alec Burleson hit his eighth home run in the losing effort. The Cardinals remain in last place in the NL Central at 48-and-62. Adam Wainwright starts for St. Louis against the Rockies tonight.
