Garylee has sports for May 4th
The Missouri State University-West Plains softball team is taking shape for the program’s first campaign. But the game is anything but new for it’s head coach.
Don Long has been coaching at the middle and high school level for many years but is excited to take a step up to the next level with the Grizzly job.
Don says recruiting got a late start with the late announcement of the program’s creation.

Coach Long will be assisted by Amy Marshall and Ashley Cooley.
Open tryouts will be held May 4th at the Richards School softball field. Anyone interested in playing should call coach Long at 417-372-1368.
