Skip Schumaker has been named the new Texas Rangers manager on a four-year deal through 2029, replacing Bruce Bochy.
Schumaker previously managed the Miami Marlins, winning NL Manager of the Year in 2023.
He played 11 MLB seasons, including a 2011 World Series title with the Cardinals.
He joined the Rangers in 2025 as a senior advisor and is now tasked with improving a team that went 81–81 and missed the playoffs.
