Coastal Plain League: INF/OF Cameron Benson is off to a strong start for Boone with a .262 average, 8 RBIs and 4 SBs through 11 games; the junior transfer has logged hits in five of his last six contests, highlighted by a 3-for-4 night on June 6…OF RJ Jimerson has recorded a pair of multi-hit performances in his first nine games with the Asheboro Zookeepers, including a 2-for-4, 2-RBI effort that included a home run vs. Florence on May 30.
MINK League: INF Tyler Macon is hitting .375 with 6 steals and 7 runs scored through his first six contests with Clarinda.
MLB Draft League: RHP Victor Quinn notched a mound victory for West Virginia June 5 vs. Frederick; the junior turned in an immaculate inning against State College on Sunday and has fanned 12 batters over 4.2 innings for the campaign, allowing just a pair of hits in three total appearances.
Northwoods League: It’s fitting that our first TOT Report of the summer is headlined by an actual Tot…a Minot Hot Tot, to be exact–C Mateo Serna is making noise in the Northwoods, posting a .450 batting average through his first six games with Minot; the freshman turned in his best performance Monday with a 3-for-3, 3-RBI effort in which he also drew three walks to reach safely in all six of his plate appearances vs. Bismarck.
