The Royals failed to complete a three-game sweep of the Twins. Kansas City lost to Minnesota 5-1 at Kauffman Stadium. Vinnie Pasquantino drove in the team’s only run on an RBI single in the sixth. Starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen was charged with his 10th loss after allowing four runs through five-and-a-third innings. The Royals are second in the AL Central at 73-and-70. They visit the Cleveland Guardians this evening.
