Over the week; The West Plains Zizzer Boys Basketball team traveled to Mountain Grove for The Family Pharmacy Panther Classic, achieving one win and one loss.
Zizzers fell by nine points on Night one to The Mountain Grove Panthers, a game in which Zizzers had the lead early by as many as five in the First Half. Mountain Grove came back and went on a 14-0 run to go into the Second Half.

On Thursday Night, Zizzers were on fire from the three point line. And though they had issues early with rebounding the ball, they achieved a great win over the Thayer Bobcats:

1st Quarter: Thayer Bobcats control the tip and early on, a turnover. Caleb Miller for West Plains with a good three to kick things off, 3-0.
A foul and first points for the Thayer Bobcats shot at the free throw line by Hunter Trinkler.
Rebound and Caleb Moore scores again for West Plains, on another three. Zizzers having issues controlling Trinkler however as he forces another West Plains turnover and a two pointer.
Kraft for the Zizzers with a wide open three, Game cut to two as Zizzers lead 10-98. A foul as Sophmore forward, Jayden Belcher is fouled and goes to the line, shoots two free throws. Thayer takes a brief two point lead, 10-12.
Josiah Long with the next inbound play, puts the ball up and in for two. This nears a tie game as Jared Kraft puts the ball up and in for two.
Riley White goes to the free throw line on the next foul for West Plains as he shoots 1 for the Thayer Bobcats.
2nd Quarter: Thayer continues to outrebound the Zizzers as Senior Forward, Riley White gets another bucket after a three good by Belcher. Bobcats lead 21-17 with under seven minutes to go.
Zizzers go on a bit of a run with the next possession as a three by Ethan Miller is good. Belcher answers back with another three as the Ballgame is tied up at 21 points apiece. Jared Kraft with the rebound and two more baseline jumper.
Jacob Moore also with his second bucket as Zizzers now trail by one, 26-25.
With fifty seconds to go, Zizzers try to pull off a three. Kraft and Gavin Kenslow trying to make a bucket. Thayer takes the ball back, losing it out of bounds but back over to Rhett Huddleston for The Zizzers who shoots a wide open jumper.

3rd Quarter: An early foul on the Bobcats and Jared Kraft shoots two free throws. Kraft nearly led all scorers.
A steal by The Bobcats and two buckets back to back by Freshman Guard, Hunter Trinkler. West Plains begin to make a lot of threes though as Trinker shoots and fouls but makes two free throws, but a three by Junior, Aden Judd.
All but two points scored for The Bobcats by Senior Guard, Hollis Deckard as he scores at the free throw line.
Another three by Huddleston at the buzzer as Zizzers lead the Bobcats 54-38 at the end of three.
4th Quarter: West Plains continues to be relentless with shooting the three. Kraft and Miller with three more field goals.
Trinkler for The Thayer Bobcats continues desperately to Score a three but to no avail
