Congratulations to Trevin Smith and Karlee Romans on their Cross Country and Track collegiate signings to Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO.
Trevin Smith son of Marshall and Rochelle Smith recently signed a national letter of intent to run cross country and track at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin MO. Trevin is a four year letter winner in cross country and has been a big part of the back to back state championship teams in 2024 and 2025. Trevin has worked through some adversity and never given up.
Karlee Roman’s daughter of Quentin and Jacelyn Romans signed a national letter of intent to run cross country and track at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin MO. Karlee has been a three year letter winner in cross country and contributed to the team all four years. Karlees teams have placed 2nd in State for three years in a row. Karlees has shown a ton of perseverance and mental toughness as she has matured through her high school career.
MSSU is a division two school and competes in the MIAA Conference. Both athletes will be a big addition to the Lion Cross Country and Track Teams.
Zizzer athletics are proud of Karlee and Trevin for finishing out their high school cross country career with strong finishes. Both earned all state honors and helped bring home team trophies. These two Zizzers will be missed but we will be cheering them on as they trade in their red for green and gold next fall. Until then, both plan to set some PR’s on the track this spring.
