The lady bears controlled the tipoff and took a quick shot but unfortunately missed. The bulldogs got the rebound and played a patient offense before scoring the first points of the game. The lady bears then scored their first points of the game shortly after. The lady bears started to warm up and get consecutive buckets back to back, but Cabool stayed close with them. The Lady bears then was dominant throughout the rest of the quarter gaining a double digit lead and leaving Cabool scoreless. The first quarter ended 18 – 4, with the Lady Bears gaining control of the game easily. The second quarter was no different. The lady bears continued right where they left off, dominating the scoring against Cabool. There were many inbounds plays in the quarter. The ball was out of bounds more times than usual. Both teams also had trouble turning the ball over. Even though Willow had a massive lead, both teams did turn the ball over many times. Cabool finally hit double digits at the end of the quarter. The halftime score was 36 – 10, with Willow having a very comfortable lead.
The second half started with the lady bears with the ball, looking to add to their tremendous lead, they hit a 3 to come out of halftime. Cabool did go back down the court and scored a bucket of their own. Willow on fire shooting from beyond the arc and deep in 2-point range. The scoreline was almost hopeless for Cabool to comeback, as Willow just kept scoring non-stop. The bears did a great job getting rebounds and steals which mainly lead to their crazy offensive success. Cabool was just completely overwhelmed by Willow’s presence, but Cabool was still fighting until the very end. The 3rd quarter ended 55 – 20, with Willow walking away with it. The turbo clock was activated when the 4th quarter started, indicating that the game was pretty much over. Willow played more conservatively, but they still scored like it was nothing. With the clock winding down, Cabool was started to score more easily, 62 – 27 was the final score, with willow taking the easy win.
