West Plains Zizzers vs. Harrison Goblins Audio:
The West Plains Zizzer Boys Basketball team played two more games in the course of the week in the Willard Tournament after a crushing, ten point to the Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish last Wednesday.
In Friday’s Game: The Zizzers took on The Smith Cotton Tigers from Sedalia, Missouri on Friday Night in the consolation match. In the game, Smith Cotton took an early run and lead in The First Quarter as Senior post man, Michael Staysuk & Junior Guard, Andrew Berry steal several wide open shots from the Zizzers as they struggle to find footing on defense.
There were a few times the Zizzers were able to bounce back and trail by two points at times as Jared Kraft, the leading scorer for West Plains was able to get quite a few rebounds and did a nice job at the free throw line. Junior Caleb Cobb contributed to the good free throw shooting in the First Half.
However, the main crash for The Zizzers was in the second half as they are are outscored 14-4 in the second half. Two other high scorers for Smith Cotton add to this record, Maxwell Lyles & Baylon Wooster.
Zizzers fall by a Final Score of 56-48

In Saturday’s Seventh Place Game: The Zizzers face the Harrisonm Arkansas Goblins. Harrison takes an early 25-11 lead after several field goals. Juniors Gavin Jones & Brody James as well as Senior Chance Lorenz lead scoring for the Goblins so far.
For the Zizzers: Luke Skeeters has a good day as he adds to the two point offensive effort he contributed in Friday’s game. By early in the Third Quarter, Junior Caleb Cobb for the Zizzers had at least 13 points after making several three pointers. At least two of these three point plays were completed at the line.
But Zizzers unfortunatly go on to fall in the Game as Harrison makes a 6-0 run in the last quarter of play and wins the ballgame by a Final of 82-69
