The West Plains Zizzers traveled to Bolivar to face the Liberators on Friday night. West Plains got the ball first and put together a long drive with six first downs before scoring on an 11 yard pass from Miller to Moore to tak an early 7-0 lead after a successful extra point.
Bolivar got the kick and on the first play of the drive Evan Nichols took the handoff and ran 74 yards for a touchdown, the extra point was no good making the score 7-6
West Plains then put together another long drive ending with a Jackson Taylor 2 yard run for a touchdown, extra point was good making the score 14-6. That was the score at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter Bolivar was forced to punt and West Plains moved the ball with a 20 yard pass to Due, setting up a 8 yard pass from Miller to Moore to make the score 21-6 after the extra point.
Bolivar drove down to the 2 yard line and the ball was intercepted by Caden Warren who returned the ball to the 3 yard line. West Plains drove down the field including a 50 yard hook and ladder on a pass to Moore and pitch to Taylor. West Plains was in a goal to go situation when Bolivar intercepted a pass at the 2 yard line and returned it for a touchdown. The 2 point conversion failed making the score at the half 21-12 West Plains.
Bolivar received the second half kickoff and was able to drive to midfield but was forced to punt the ball back to the Zizzers. Miller went on a 15 yard run and was hit after the slide which added 15 more yards taking the ball to the 35 yard line. Jackson Taylor scored a touchdown on a 29 yard run to extend the West Plains lead to 28-12 in the 3rd quarter. Zizzers forced a punt that bounced backwards giving them the ball at the Bolivar 18 yard line. Taylor scored on a run from inside the run and made the score 35-12 with 1:08 left in the 3rd quarter.
In the 4th quarter the Liberators drove down to the 10 yard line but the Zizzers defense held tough and took over on downs at their own 10 with 7:30 minutes left. Zizzers were able to run out the clock to win 35-12
