Survivors include: his wife, Loretta of the home; his children, Lee Mustion of Dunnellan, Fl; Connie (Randy) Ward, Terry (Barbie) Mustion, Teresa (Terry) Tillman, and Donna (Danny) Mainprize, all of Thayer, MO; 1 Aunt, Donnia Terry of Seymour, MO; 3 brothers, Noval Willbanks of Thayer, MO, Bud Willbanks of Koshkonong, MO, Charlie Willbanks of Blue Springs, MO; 2 sisters, LuAnn Robison and Janell Willbanks of Koshkonong, MO; 13 Grandchildren, Jess, Tim, Brett, Heather, Hunter, Alexis, Angela, Dylan, Marissa, Will, Ashton and Darcy; 13 Great Grandchildren and 3 on the way.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Juanita Willbanks and step-father, Verbal Willbanks; father in law John Stapleton and mother in law Orva Belle Stapleton; grandparents who raised him, Ernest and Bessie Brazeal; 2 brothers, Danny Willbanks and Punkin Willbanks; brother in law, Randy Stapleton; 1 granddaughter, Eve Mainprize; 1 grandson-in-law, Bryan Tate; 2 aunts and 3 uncles.
Leon was a graduate of Thayer High School, Class of 1957. He began working for his Pap at Brazeal Lumber and Pallet Co. and helped him run the business for 40 years. After retirement, he drove a truck for DB Mainprize Trucking for 8 years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Walker Cemetery in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Barry O’Dell officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Walker Cemetery.
