Cabool, Missouri – The Stars Foundation is a non-profit fine arts school dedicated to bringing the arts to children and adults and helping them build their art skills. They offer music, dance, theater, art, and languages.
Every month the Stars Foundation showcases its work and provides entertainment for the public. Most shows are performed at the Melba Theater in Houston, with some shows finding their way down to the West Plains Civic Center. Joe Ward, part of the Stars Foundation, has stated that they perform variety shows every month, all in theme with that month. In February they did a Valentine’s Show and in March they performed a show themed for St. Patrick’s Day. Recently they performed Disney’s The Little Mermaid for crowds at the Melba Theater.
Towards the end of May, they will be performing a play called “Hilarious Hotel Heist”. This is an original show written by Matt Peterson. Beyond the regular public performances of popular musicals the Stars Foundation also performs recitals for parents to see what their kids have accomplished.
