Taylor is accused of hiding Alton Cooke after he allegedly shot two people in the Midway area on Wednesday, October 30. Cooke was the subject of a manhunt that ended October 31 when he was found at a Gassville home. He had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.

Taylor and her 16-year-old juvenile son lived at this residence where Cooke was located.

Taylor was interviewed by investigators and reportedly admitted that she picked Cooke up after receiving a call from him on October 30, and she picked him up at the address of the parent of the female shooting victim. Taylor reportedly said that she took Cooke from that location to her residence in Gassville.

Later in the day, investigators from the Mountain Home Police Department, who were assisting the sheriff’s office in the shooting investigation, went to Taylor’s residence to follow up on a lead. She reportedly admitted to lying to officers about having contact with Cooke despite him hiding in the residence.

Taylor was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center where she is being held on $50,000 bond pending her appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on November 7.
