Teen injured after vehicles hit horse

POMONA, Mo. — A teenager from Willow Springs was seriously injured after striking a horse in the roadway.

A report from the Highway Patrol states the two-vehicle accident happened around 8 pm Friday, November 29 on Southbound Highway 63 at Pomona, when the southbound car driven by 33-year-old Kimberly Wilson of West Plains hit the horse, ejecting 17-year-old Leonard Green of Willow Springs from the horse. A southbound pick-up truck then struck the injured horse, according to the report.

Green was taken from the scene of the accident to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains by ambulance.
